Your addresses
Yeetline's own service is a suite of apps, and each is at an address of its own. This page says which is which, and why a few of them are not the address you may have used before. Once the owner has turned the suite on, these are the names (with <your domain> standing for this deployment's):
| Address | What is there |
|---|---|
<your domain> | The front page: the three apps, a search box where Yeetfind is open to everyone, and the public pages |
chat.<your domain> | The chat app |
admin.<your domain> | The administration page, for staff |
search.<your domain> | Yeetfind (what it is) |
status., docs., privacy., terms., get. | The page of that name, at its root |
Every public page is reachable on every one of these names. A name other than the main address asks search engines not to list it, so the main address stays the real one.
If you used the chat app at the main address before
Chat moved to chat.<your domain>. A browser keeps what it stores (your keys, your drafts, your cached history, your theme) separately for each address, so a browser you were signed in at the main address starts signed out at the new one. If you turned on key sync in your account settings, sign in with your passphrase at the new address and your keys come back. If you did not, your identity lives only in that browser's storage at the old address; until you turn sync on there, use the old address's /chat/, which stays and still works, and then sign in at the new one. Each browser you sign in at the new address is a new device of your account: you will get the new-device letter, your contacts' apps will set up a fresh session with it, and an installed web app and its notifications must be made again at the new address. The desktop and phone apps and your account are not affected, and neither are passkeys.
Why one of them is different
Most of these names are served by the same program, and the main address and the chat address may reach you through Cloudflare. The search address does not: it is not proxied, and the program behind it is a different one, so that what you search for never passes through the program that knows who is signed in. The landing page says this too, and so does Yeetfind.
