Rail — the list of rooms and direct threads down the side. Thread — one conversation: a room or a direct message. Room — a conversation anyone here (or its list) can join; #general is the one everyone starts in. A role room comes with a role. Direct message — a thread between two people. Saved messages — a thread with only you in it, for notes and forwards. Seal — to encrypt a message so that only the people in the thread can read it; every message is sealed before it leaves the device. Tier — how strong the sealing is: Standard, No Middleman, or Ultimate Encryption (see Keys, and the three tiers). Safety number — a code two people compare to be sure nobody stands between them. Personal key — the key an account publishes at /@name for the world to verify it by. Passkey — a sign-in held by your device or password manager instead of a passphrase. Guest — a throwaway account that lasts while the tab is open. Presence — who is online, away or last seen when. Status — the emoji and words beside your name, with an expiry. Mention — @name, @everyone or @here in a message. Slow mode — a floor under how often one person may post in a room. Topic — the line under a room's name; a description is the paragraph behind it; a welcome is shown once to whoever joins. Nickname — what you call a thread, seen by you alone. Pin — a message kept in the thread's pinned list. Sticker — a picture sent by name from the pack. The panel — the administrator's and moderator's pages at /admin/. The console — yeetline-ctl, the same commands from a shell. Frame — one message on the wire between the app and the server.
