Profiles and cards

Your profile

Settings → Your Profile takes a display name, a picture, a bio, pronouns and a website. All of it is public and optional, and none of it is sealed: like a display name, the server can read it. The bio and the pronouns are held to the same word list as a name. Nothing here says where you are: the time zone it once offered was removed, because a time zone is identifying information.

Somebody's card

Profile on a person's menu opens their card: picture, name and handle, pronouns, role, status, whether they are online or when they were last here, their bio, their website (a link the app does not vouch for), when they joined, the rooms you share, and the ways to reach them. Copy @handle copies their name for a mention; Public page opens /@name, where their personal key is, and on Yeetline's own server the same facts; a company's own deployment's page is the key alone.

Where else it shows

Pronouns sit beside names in the people list and in a room's member list (a switch under Settings → Rail hides them).
