Exporting and copying

Export as text… on a thread's menu (or /export, or Alt+X) writes what this device holds of the thread to a .txt file: one line per message, stamped, with files and stickers named in brackets. It is what your browser has decrypted, nothing more: the server cannot export what it cannot read.

Copy on a message copies its text; Copy link copies an address to that message, and on a thread's menu an address that opens the app on that thread. Copy @handle on a card copies a name for a mention. Pictures, files and links… gathers everything of those kinds in the thread, with a press to save each file.

Whatever the app copies — a safety number, a message, a link — is cleared from the clipboard thirty seconds later. It is not a switch: the privacy rows Settings used to offer are fixed on.

Nothing here leaves the device unless you send it somewhere yourself.
