Reactions, polls and pins

Reactions

A reaction is a small message about a message: it travels sealed like everything else, and the server sees only that a reaction happened. Pick one from the bar under a message; press yours again to take it back. In a room in slow mode a reaction counts as a message, because the server cannot tell them apart.

Polls

/poll Question | Option | Option asks the room. Everyone votes from the bubble; the counts move live; the asker can close it. A poll is sealed to the thread like any message, so the server does not know what was asked.

Pins

Pin on a message's menu keeps it in the thread's pinned list — the pin button in the header, /pins, or Alt+I. Anyone in the thread can read the list; whoever may moderate the room can unpin. A pinned message is marked in the thread.

Threads, forwards and quotes

Reply quotes a message under yours and links back to it. Forward sends a copy to another thread, marked as forwarded. Reply privately takes a room message into a direct thread with its author, quoted.
